Build Care Damp is a waterproofing mastic coating formulated for external horizontal surfaces (Terraces and chajjas). The product is suitable as a primer coat with waterproofing abilities for any Surfa Coats Paints exterior emulsions.

Surfa Damp Shield Waterproof Coating is an elastomeric waterproof liquid coating specially formulated for all exterior masonary surfaces.

Areas of Application:

• Surfa DAMP SHIELD can be applied on all exterior manonary surfaces susceptible for seepage and water ingress. Product can also be applied on building roofs/terraces, chajjas, vertical walls etc.,

Surface Preparation:

• New masonary surfaces must be allowed to cure completely.
• Ensure that the surface is thoroughly cleaned and rendered free of dust, oil, grease, grime, loose particles, algae and fungus etc. 
• Check the substrate for its soundness. Small cracks 3mm or less should be
• Opened, cleaned and filled with Surfa Crack Filler. Larger Cracks, damaged
• Portions and hollow areas must be properly repaired.

Application:

• Apply a self priming coat of Surfa Damp Shield (diluted with water 31 ratio).
• Apply two perpendicular coats of Surfa Damp Shield
• without dilution.
• Achieve a forced coverage of 25 sq ft/lit/coat.
• Allow to dry for 4-6 hours between coats.

• Apply a self priming coat of Surfa Damp Shield
• (diluted with water in 31 ratio).
• Apply 1 coat of Surfa Damp Shield without dilution at the rate of 30-35 sq ft/ltr consumption.
• Apply 2 coats of Surfex Rain Shield-Exterior Emulsion Paint of the desired shade.
• Allow to dry for 4-6 hours between coats.

On Roofs/Terraces:

• For best performance on terraces, ensure that the product is applied on the entire roof including parapet wall to form a continuous blanket.

Surfacem, superior quality decorative Surfacem Waterproof Cement Paint has been formulated to very high standards, specifically structured to give the best results possible, on the surfaces recommended. Surface is based on White Portland Cement and additives that render ease of application and water repellency. Surface, while offering high-quality standards, also offers a great deal of economy as compared to other leading brands.

Suitable Surfaces:

• Surfacem is recommended mainly for exteriors, but, can also be used for interiors. Surfaces recommended are concrete, cement/sand renderings, cement/ sand/lime renderings, concrete bricks & blocks, asbestos cement sheets and fibre boards. The surface containing gypsum plaster, chunam, lime washes, oil paints, varnishes, oil-bound distemper, emulsion paints, metal or wood, require an application of CEMPRIM (transparent bonding coat) prior to Surface, as per specifications.

Surface Preparation:

• Clean all surfaces removing loose dust and dirt with the use of a stiff wire brush and then wash the surface. If the surface has been previously painted with cement paint, only a slight scraping with sand paper is sufficient to see that fungus and any other matter are removed completely. Wet the surface with clean water by any convenient method. Wait till surface is damp to touch, with no sign of water on it. On a new surface or in a Surfacemvery dry atmosphere where water is either absorbed or evaporated very quickly, feed the surface with water until a uniform slow drying is observed. Concentrate only on those parts which dry faster than the rest. Carry on until uniformity in drying is observed. The surface is then ready for application. Do noSurface on dripping wet surfaces.
• Fungicidal wash is advised on fungus-infected areas to ensure removal of fungus.

Mixing Instructions:

• Water must be added to Surfacem, and not vice versa. Take one measure of Surfacem in a clean and rust free container. Then, take an equal volume of clean water and add a little at a time to surface. Stir well to get a uniform consistency. Add the balance quantity of water and stir the mixture thoroughly. Keep the mix for about 10-15 minutes. Surfacem is now ready for application. Do not add any extra quantity of water at any stage as it will upset some of the properties. Keep stirring the mixture often during use. It should be completely used within 2.5 hrs of preparation. Use clean potable water for mixing and curing. Do not use saline water for mixing.
