Product Details:

Surfa Tile Guard is a tough protective acrylic based paint specially formulated for application on roof tiles and exterior bricks for protection from rain, algae, and fungus. Paint provides a long-lasting rich sheen finish to tiles and bricks. Not recommended for use on glazed tiles.

Surface Preparation:

• New surfaces must be allowed to dry out completely. Surface must be thoroughly clean and free from dust, flakes, and grease etc.

 

Old and pre-painted surfaces:

• Remove all loosely adhering particles, powdery materials, and defective paints by brushing, scraping and water jetting. Clean fungus affected area by proper Biocide treatment.

 

Application:

• Apply 2 coats of paint with an interval of 12 hours between coats.

 

Thinning:

• Dilute 1-liter paint with 300ml of clean potable water for both the coats.

 

Precaution:

• Do not apply paint during wet weather.
• Do not over thin the paint or over extend the brush.
• Do not use any Universal Stainer or other Colourants.

Select Direct Shade Offered by Manufacturers:

• Do not apply paint on damp tiles.
• For best performance of the paint, ensure proper cleaning and washing of dirt, black patches etc., with water at regular intervals of six months.

Surfex Rain Shield Silicon Enriched Pure Acrylic Emulsion is a premium high-performance silicon enriched pure acrylic emulsion specially formulated to protect the exterior walls from heavy rains and vagaries of weather. Surfex Rain Shield Emulsion prevents the growth of algae & fungus and helps to preserve the rich look of the exterior surfaces season after season.

Surface preparation:

• Newly plastered wall must be allowed to cure for minimum 3 months before painting.
• The surface must be free from dirt, dust and grease
• Remove all loose flaked coatings/particles or powder residue by thorough brushing and scrapping followed by water jetting, if required.
• Ensure removal of fungus and algae growth with suitable biocide treatment.
• Ensure that walls are completely dry before painting.
• Ensure that all water leakages and seepages are stopped completely before painting.
• Undulation to be rectified. Holes, dents and cracks are to be filled with exterior putty or sand mortar that is a mixture of White Cement & fine sand in the ratio of 1:3.

Priming:

• A base coat of Surfa Acrylic Exterior Cement Primer (WB) is mandatory to prevent failure of a paint film.

Application:

• On well cured, dried and cleaned plastered walls, apply one coat of Surfa Acrylic Exterior Cement Primer (Water Based) diluting 1 litre of primer with 500ml of clean potable water and allow drying for 5-6 hrs.
• Apply two coats of Surfex Rain Shield-diluting 1 litre of paint with 400ml of clean potable water. Allow a minimum interval of 5-6 hrs between coats. On horizontal surfaces like tops of parapets and awnings, it is necessary to apply 3 coats.
• Deep shades like Sunrise, Ming Red, Flamingo, Dark Micado, Terracotta, etc. require additional coats.

Precautions:

• Surfex Rain Shield is not suitable for painting on damp surfaces or where there is a continuous seepage of water.
• Do not apply the paint at temperatures below 10ºC or above 40ºC.
• Use only exterior putty and an exterior primer on exterior walls.
• The paint should not be applied on surfaces/substrates which are subjected to continuous seepages or dampness.
• Application of Exterior Wall Primer is compulsory for all surfaces. Not doing so, can lead to failure of the paint film.
• Do not dilute the paint. Over dilution of SURFEX Rain Shield may result in shade variation, poor hiding, poor bonding and flaking.

Surfex Premium Pure Acrylic Exterior Emulsion is an outstanding high durability exterior paint judiciously formulated to withstand tropical climatic conditions like heavy rainfall, extreme heat, high humidity. Surfex Premium fights fungus formation. Affording better coverage, Surfex Premium protects and beautifies walls, staying colour fast, season after season.

Surfex Premium is a special formulation based on pure acrylic resin emulsion and special pigments and additives with high resistance to degradation by U.V radiation.

It is resistant to alkali and other mild chemicals. The product gives a tough coating with high adhesion on the exterior surface which is highly resistant to peeling. The coating is highly resistant to all types of microbial attack thus preventing the onset of fungus and algae for years together

Directions for use:

• Prepare wall surface by scraping off flaked coatings and ensure removal of fungus and algae growth with suitable biocide treatment.
• The surface must be free from loose particles, dirt, dust, grease and moisture.
• Take maximum precautions where the water tends to accumulate, i.e., places like parapet,sunshade, etc.
• The exterior surface should be free from seepage and constant dampness. During the rainyreason allow 2-3 days of sunshine for surface to dry before starting painting.
• Newly plastered walls must be allowed to cure for 6 months before painting.
• To 1 litre of Surfex add 400 ml of clean potable water. For best results, apply 2 coats. Between coats, allow minimum of 4 hours gap. On sensitive areas like parapets and awnings, an extra coat is recommended.
• On a freshly plastered surface, 3 coats of Surfex are necessary. Apply the first coat by diluting one litre of Surfex with one litre of clean water.This coat acts as a primer coat. The other coats are to be applied by diluting with 400 ml of clean potable water per litre.

• Do not apply putty or cement primers on exterior walls. Cracks can be filled with white cement or mixture of cement and sand, if necessary.
